spring/summer 2009

The spring/summer collection of 2009 is inspired by art: the paintings of Andrew Wyeth, especially "Christina’s World" from 1948. It’s Wyeth’s most famous painting and it is done in his characteristic style with a high degree of realism, subdued colors and strong emotional symbols.

The materials of the collection are unique: silk dyed with madder berries, naturally color-grown cotton and cotton dyed with indigo and tannin. camilla norrback always puts a great emphasis on introducing new innovative materials, and this season the focus is on dying. Finding new materials and new ways of working is the essence of camilla norrback.

The base colors in the collection are cream, black, blue and powder, with lilac as an accent. Is a collection that breaths American thirties working class, but with a modern feminine feeling. It is coarse, yet dressed, it is pale yet colorful. It is a collection with multitude, old-fashioned yet modern. The cuts are loose with a light summer feeling, with many dresses and thin-knit garments.
